I've played this game before but have never finished it. It's a great Castlevania game. Personally, I think it's more accessible than the old school NES Castlevania games just cause it seems a little easier to play (you can whip in all directions instead of just in front of you). The only two gripes I have with this game is the jumping feels a little different than in other Castlevania games (which actually helps it cause and the graphics and color schemes will sometimes make it difficult to see enemies.

Make no mistakes though, this game is a Castlevania game and will kick your ass. The very first area of the game has no enemies, yet if you aren't familiar with the Castlevania trope of blocks crumbling under your feet, get ready to die by falling into the water.
