Back in 2014, Eidos Montreal would release its second game, the reboot for the Thief franchise, which had been on a pause for quite some time. There was an attempt to recreate Thief to fit more modern-style video games with a more gothic aesthetic and dark vibe to the game. However, the Thief reboot was met with some lackluster responses from critics, fans, and reviewers.
