RG89: Donkey Kong Country
It's a classic game, from a classic series, on a super classic console! Donkey Kong Country took the world by storm and showed people just what Nintendo's Super Nintendo could do! With awesome graphics, great level design, and incredible music you were sure to find DKC in just about anyone's Super Nintendo collection.
In this video we take on the first world and a half, and looks at some of the things that made this game and series so great. I also show off where tons of secrets are located to stay tuned if you want to see where they are hidden!
It is amazing just how well this game still stands today. Despite it's age, I still think that the graphics are like a work of art. I could also listen to the soundtrack for hours, some of the songs are just that good! It really is a shame that Rare is no longer with Nintendo, the company definitely needs more great third party developers to fill in the gaps between AAA first party titles. Donkey Kong Country Returns was a great throw back to the series that was released a few years ago, it will be interesting to see if Nintendo creates another DKC game in the future.
Many Random Game of the Days ago, I played through one of my favourite levels in Donkey Kong Country 2: Bramble Scramble. You can check out that video at the link below. I suppose that someday I will have to play a part of the third game to conclude the original trilogy!

This game is also much better than its terrible Sega Genesis pirate version (Super Donkey Kong 99), which you can find at this link:
