Music and video games have been intertwined since the release of Space Invaders in 1978. So connected were they, that a whole genre about mixing the two was created in the mid 1990s. However, the rhythm genre would rise and fall quicker than anyone would imagine, but it's core principals would eventually lead to the creation of a new genre: The Rhythm Action Game. Let's take a look at the few titles we already have and see why this new genre is on the verge of becoming the next big trend in gaming.
