Asked by Fox News’ Gretchen Carlson what he thought about Donald Trump’s suggestion today that he is “getting out of” the 2016 presidential race, Rick Perry replied, “You know, a broken clock is right once a day.”

Not only is that not how that common expression goes, but Perry appeared to be saying Trump was right about him ending his campaign. However, in the next breath, he added, “The bottom line is, I’m still here and I’m still working.”
