RICO - Linux - Proton 6.3-8 (How to get it to work)
RICO running on Linux using Proton 6.3-8 (Needed)
So if you use Proton 7/Proton Experimental/GE-Proton7-47 the Game will run and also have Videos working but at the cost of a strange problem with the Game randomly locking up/crashing during Loading Screens?
The only fix i could find to get the Game working without Locking up/Crashes during Loading was to use Proton 6.3-8, This stops Videos working but game will then stop/not load to menu at intro screen.
So next step was to rename the Video folder for the Game.
Steam folder/steamapps/common/RICO/RICO_Data/StreamingAssets/
In here your find a folder called "videos", either rename to something else (e.g. videos.old) or delete the folder, now the game will work and play with out locking up/crashing at loading screens but you will not have Intro Videos, and tutorial videos, but if you renamed the folder then you can just watch the Videos using file manager/your Linux desktop Video player.
