Awesome game! I understand why people don't like it very much, but this is my favourite game of the entire franchise right below Ridge Racer V. Very fun to play.
In this video, I complete the game for the fifth time in my life. I once completed the american version in my old PC with ePSXe when I was back in Argentina. I also completed the European version of the game twice in my PS1, due to Gran Turismo 2 doing a little trolling and making me format the Memory Card I have when even after that it would ask me to format it once again (I know, of all the games, GT2 does that. So I don't play it on my PS1). I then completed the Japanese version once in ePSXe in my new PC. This is the second time I complete that version, using a different emulator.
Said emulator is Mednafen. I'm using the older 1.26.1 version of the emulator as I had no idea it got updates. It works well, so I'll keep this version anyway. Until today I only used it for the Sega Saturn games, as no other Saturn emulator is truly good. But once I realized you could play PS1 games with it, I gave it a try with Colin McRae Rally and it worked beautifully. Then I decided to play Ridge Racer Revolution because yes. This has been the best playthrough of the game I have done at the moment of publication of the video. I completed all the races in first place on the first try, I defeated both 13th Racing and 13th Racing Kid also on the first try, and I defeated White Angel on the second try. I would have been happier if I defeated that car first try, but I'll take it.
For this race I chose the best car of the game: The White Angel. Briefly put, it's so fast and has god-like control once you know how to handle it.
