224Derek is a prodigious autistic musical savant and famous blind pianist. One of the things he is great at is intuiting the musical 'essence' of a piece of music. We played him this very distinctive track, Dead Sea/Tower of Destruction from Chrono Cross, and asked him to improvise on the feeling without directly trying to copy the melody. Watch how easily he picks up the tonality and runs with it.
