let's have a look at SimCity Enhanced CDROM for DOS.
sorry for the changing screen relations, it's simply this way and it was my fault that i started it in a 16:10 relation (thus the intro is cut off at left side now), while the clips in the game are even "tighter" as 4:3.
it's a cut short game just to show some of the cheesy vids. of course i could have played back the clips only, but that won't be much fun, best experience them yourself. the graphics are somewhat better even as for SC Classic (or SC Deluxe for the AMIGA), also i wonder why they didn't kept the cheesy vids even for SC2K i.e. i like them much even if you might have seen them all after a while, still they make me laugh.

some tech info,
SC enhanced CDROM works well with DOSBox, i suggest to copy all from the CDROM to a folder on your HD, you can run the installer in DOSBox and enter where the vids and sound files are located instead to mount the CDROM or a image of it.
in principles the default DOSBox settings will work fine for it.
however here's a possible config file for the use with DOSBox 1.74, plus some icons to nicely run "SC enhanced" from your windows.

i was a huge SC fan, i bought me my first copy in 1990 and followed it through most stages of it's evolution (SC Deluxe for the Amiga, SC2K Win and Amiga, SC3K, Rush Hour), from the recent SC i stayed clear after reading that it's problematic. To be honest SC enhanced i never owned, i didn't knew it existed at all else i certainly would have bought it back then.
like many of us old gamers i would say "it's got not the same spirit anymore".

i hold a hacked SimCity 1.02 (the original from 1989), the "hack" is i translated the game to german as good as possible, if interested note it in your comment.

frustrated YT users personal note:
this isn't the first clip which i uploaded where the sound is out of sync. the original on my HD is OK, i checked this after noticing it.
THAT'S NOT FUNNY, even if it's just a funny clip of funny vids of a old game.
