New episode, new review. This here’s a 30-minute episode meaning it’s going to be really groovy.
The plot has Baron Draxum uniting various villains together to defeat the Turtles. On the other side are the Turtles who want to get stronger after a recent screwup but can’t due to Splinter and it gets worse when he grounds them and strips them of their weapons. Now they got to take down this evil team without weapons.
It’s a 30-minute episode meaning you are getting a lot. Baron Draxum returns and this time he decides to unite various villains together in the hopes of defeating the Turtles. We also get the debut of the Sando Brothers, voiced by Jason Mantzoukas and Paul Scheer. Not only that but we get a musical… I’m serious. This just literally is hilarious and who’d have thought John Cena would be a good singer. It’s crazy.
This episode has loads of highlights but the biggest being a revelation that yep, Baron Draxum by combining mutant DNA and the human DNA of Lou Jitsu created the Turtles. Whatever happened to Lou Jitsu? We do know that he was an action movie star, he was in the Battle Nexus and was mutated into a rat. I have a theory that Splinter is possibly Lou Jitsu. I could be wrong but it’s an interesting thesis. But we know we haven’t seen the last of Draxum. Him meeting the Foot Brute & Lieutenant may mean a sign of something bad.
But yeah the episode was great. I enjoyed everything about it and it’s one of the show’s best thus far.
