Set in legendary feudal Japan, Rising Sun is a fabulous board game, not only because of its beautiful design, unique and immersive rule mechanics, and infinite repeatability, but also because of the amazing value of what comes in the box. This is a $100 game, which is pretty middle of the road as far as serious board games go, and yet it comes with over 50 assembled and unpainted plastic miniatures, with great sculpt quality and detail, ranging from 30mm to 75mm scale. The value of the miniatures alone greatly exceed the price tag on the game. If you like a game that not only plays well, but looks amazing on the table, this is the one for you.
