Rising World Medieval Realms Ep17 - Finally Taking Shape
Today we inch a step closer to when we can begin installing the huge glass plates which will cover the entire ocean side of the house.
When the NPCs arrive in the game it will be interesting to see how the bandits will deal with our walls made entirely of glass from which we will of course be firing at the bandits.
So why make the walls of glass? Well, that is because there are no dangerous animals or bandits in the area so this area is perfectly safe ..... but of course, that could change at any time.
It is the year 1516 and long periods of rain caused major flooding and left agricultural fields waterlogged. Farmland was so poor that it could not sustain the yields typical of medieval farming and soon entire families began starving.
The Great Famine has arrived in Rising World and we find that a good proportion of our carrots, corn, pumpkins, tomatoes and watermelon stored in the food barrel are no longer edible and have gone off due to the poor growing conditions.
We then harvest our current farm crop and find most of our new carrots have not grown properly.
Available food is going to become an issue soon in this game and if we run out of food we will starve.
-----
In my Rising World series, I have so far been playing in Single-player mode. Well, today we look at how Rising World looks in Multiplayer mode.
I am on the Medieval Realms server and yesterday I spent the day traveling across the world and swam to 3 different islands to find new unexplored land..... When you see how much open space there is to build on, you can see that there is enough space for 250 people to build their dreams here.
So where did I decide to build in Medieval Realms? I have located a largely isolated corner of the map where there is no player anywhere for miles. This leaves me in peace for a few days to build my house up in the hills surrounded by forest all around me.
I have started my project to move the ocean water much further inland to where my house is and have already started work on the vertical mine shaft which has already found a large seam of iron ore. We will keep digging vertically down in our search for gold and other ore.
While I am far from other settlers, there is no reason why someone could move into my area any day now. This is why once you have your home area picked out you need to contact the owner of the server who will protect your land from anyone else building upon it.
