I admit that Merc was really tough at first, I wasn't really feeling the character. There's even an achievement tied to this on Monsoon? Which is a little weird but okay, I think Merc is pretty good. At first I was trying to play this similarly to the invul cycles of RoR2, but I found that while his 3 strike melee is strong you don't want to be caught in the ground

If your attack speed is strong enough you can get plenty of slashes in one jump but once I got Hoppo feather I could maintain the aerial strikes. Hardlight definitely came in clutch as it gives you so many more dashes. I try not to rely on the invulnerability because it's not that long and the cooldown of the Whirlwind strike is very low so you should try to get as many of them in as possible after a dash with a cooldown as long as 2-3 seconds.

A very fun character.
