I played the 2024 release of the game Riven to see what if any differences where in the gameplay. I did like the more detail in the surroundings, the sky had more detail with the clouds, the waves on the shores of the islands, the steam, smoke and so on was a lot nicer looking than the original release. I didn't see all of the footage from the original release like the child being picked up by the mother when you first get to the village or the spirit child in the forest. I'm not sure why I didn't see that, thankfully that didn't take anything away from the storyline. I did like this version overall and I enjoyed playing the new ways the power(fire) marbles and the animal totem puzzles were set up in the game.
