Hello everyone, and welcome to what will be my attempt of a Nuzlocke in the game Pokemon Brilliant Diamond. All of the rules that I will (try to) follow are listed below. Come along on the first step of a Pokemon journey filled with victory. And maybe some losses, but hopefully not! Hopefully... Lol.

Main Rule Set:
1. Any Pokemon that faints is considered ‘dead’ and must be released as soon as possible.
2. Only the first wild Pokemon encountered in a route or area can be caught. If it faints or flees, the opportunity to catch a Pokemon on that route/area, is lost. *This rule applies to the Safari Zone if there is one.
3. All Pokemon must have a nickname.
4. Dupes Clause: If the encountered Pokemon has already been caught or is a part of its evolutionary line, then that encounter is nullified until another Pokemon that has yet to be caught by the player spawns. That Pokemon becomes the player’s first encounter.
5. Shiny Clause: If the encountered Pokemon is a Shiny Pokemon, the player may catch it, regardless if it was the first encounter or not. The Shiny Pokemon does not count as the first encounter, and another may be caught if the player has yet to catch one in the same area.

Additional Rules:
1. Resetting/reloading the game is not allowed.
2. A White-out screen is not considered a game over. Once all available Pokemon are dead, it is considered a game over. A new run is then implemented.
3. The Nuzlocke officially begins when the player obtains Poke Balls.
4. The player’s starter is determined by the last digit number in the Trainer ID. 1-3 is Grass, 4-6 is Fire, 7-9 is Water and 0 is player’s choice.
5. The battle style will be “Set.”
6. Fleeing from wild battles is allowed.
7. Health/Battle items (Such as Potions, Antidotes, Berries, etc.,) are allowed.
8. Held items are allowed.
9. Unlimited uses of the Pokemon Center.
10. Trading with or receiving eggs from NPC’s is allowed.
11. Legendary Pokemon cannot be used, unless otherwise scripted.
12. No limit cap for Gym/Elite Four/Champion Battles.
13. The Day Care is allowed. If given an egg, the two Pokemon become parents. Yay! *This method overwrites Dupes Clause per couple. **Once an egg has spawned, there is now a rule of 1 with the parent Pokemon: They are only allowed to have one child! ***If the first child is Shiny, they can have another one.
14. EXP. Share is allowed.
15. Rare Candies and EXP. Candies are allowed.
16. Quality of life features are allowed. (If applicable).
