In this stage, dying to this specific Pukapucker right as the second one scrolls on the screen can trigger it to appear without the bouncing ball above its head. If executed correctly, it will trigger a glitch that takes approximately one minute to run its course. After the minute has elapsed, the screen will darken, and you will respawn at the very end of the stage right before the boss. This trick saves all of the time that would be necessary to otherwise complete the stage; however, it can only be used in any% runs since you are not picking up the V letter for Beat.
