The first game in the Need for Speed franchise initially released on the Panasonic 3DO in 1994.
This is the Special Edition released as an updated version of the MS-DOS port released a year earlier in 1995. It featured a full in-race soundtrack, slightly tweaked physics, new exterior camera angles, online support via Serial/IPX and support for Windows 95.
