Road Avenger on Sega Genesis & Mega Drive using SGDK? Progress Update 2
So after a bit of a discussion with other devs. I've gone for the 32MEG ROM size limit. I'm looking to keep the game as close to the Sega CD version as possible. But sacrifices are going to have to be made due to the lack of ROM. I'm making edits to Stage 1, losing the main intro and lowering the resolution during cut-scenes.
In game the video resolution is being kept at the same width as the original but I'm trimming several rows of tiles off the height to free up some ROM. I'm going to lose roughly a minute of stage 1 footage so will need to figure what I'm going to cut!
So whats in this video? The very opening video and my first ever attempt at palette swap based animation :)
Music will be VGM hopefully supplied by my collaborator buddy Alianger
