The 3rd entry into the classic Road Rash series on the Sega Genesis. Was it as good as the others?

Episode Notes:

1. Captured on the Mega SG. Overclocked footage on the emulator REGEN.

2. Debugger REGEN can be gotten here:

3. This version also shares assets with the Sega CD edition, which suffers many of the same problems.

4. This was the last of the Road Rash games for the Genesis. Only one more would show up for a Sega console before moving on to the Playstation and Nintendo 64.

5. No doubt modern displays exacerbate the dithering, but it's bad even on a CRT. The first 2 games look so much better to my eyes.

6. The Repoman and Snitch options are essentially just running down a certain opponent and taking them out so you can make amends with the cops or pay your bike repairs off with the shop. I may not have been super clear about that in the video.

7. I'd love to see these games get remade at 60fps. Touch up the color, jack up the resolution and remix the soundtracks. Job done.
