Road Redemption ALPHA 0.001 FIRST LOOK

We have been waiting for this for some time and now we have our hands on the Road Redemption ALPHA. I'll be looking over some of the gameplay that will be a core part of this Next Gen Road Rash Style open world map combat online multiplayer motorcycle racing game.

CHANGELOG: Alpha Version 0.001

This is the first alpha release.
It is around 20-30ish minutes of content with melee combat with about 6 weapons and a looping track with a bunch of different difficulty settings and traffic situations.

Melee weapons in this release include the metal bat, the tire iron, the sword, the sledge hammer, the pipe, and the shovel. These aren't final versions of the weapons, especially the shovel.

There are three vehicles in the alpha because only these three have complete damage models in place. We will be adding many more in the coming weeks.

You drive against 7 other bikers in a race to unlock the next level. If you don't get first place you do not advance.

We have the standard traffic situations, but all the vehicles have real physics and a damage model so there are also some more intense modes where the vehicles are constantly having head on collisions and you are driving a race through this hectic situation where vehicles are upturned and rolling and having these crazy collisions that you have to avoid. This starts happening around level 6 or 7 and may cause slowdown if you have a much older computer or laptop.

The graphics quality scales from very low, which allows almost any computer to play Road Redemption, all the way up to high graphics, where only high end computers will be able to get 60 fps.

In the last few levels there is a mode where all the vehicles hate you and try to run you over. These levels are quite difficult.

You can freely roam over the entire level, but you may experience buggy or experimental game behavior if you stray too far off the course.
