You wonder what this is about right? As you know, I plan on doing Donkey Kong 64 and it's in the cards. Problem is the person who requested it deleted their pledge. In normal circumstances, I would outright cancel it. But the person who requested it is a friend of mine. If I were to do that it would upset him. But it's going to depend on whether or not I make it through all three Donkey Kong Country games.
Anyway let's do this. Welcome to Donkey Kong Country, the first of three games in the DKC trilogy. It centers on Donkey Kong and his friend Diddy as they travel through Kongo Island to recover their banana hoard from the Kremlings. For a game released in 1994, it was revolutionary for it's time. Very revolutionary. I commend the people at Rare that pulled this off.
I cover Kongo Jungle and Monkey Mines. Part 2 will tackle Vine Valley and Gorilla Glacier.
