#RoadtoMoM Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance (PS4) part 1: Mark of Mastery
Following the events of ReCoded, Sora and Riku were called to take their Mark of Mastery. Entering the sleeping world, the two on their own journey to open the seven sleeping Keyholes but someone is in their way. In Traverse Town, the two meet the cast of The World Ends with You and learn the world is split in two.
Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance HD is a full-HD remastered version of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance. Tetsuya Nomura considers it a complete remake since the game goes from the Nintendo 3DS's two screens to one.[2]
The camera, battle system, and Reality Shifts were changed or recreated to fit the controller better, along with the mini-games concerning the Dream Eaters. Besides some graphical improvements and reworked animations, the whole game runs at 60 fps, a first for the series.[3]
Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance HD was first announced on September 15, 2015, as part of the Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue compilation and was released in Japan on January 12, 2017, and worldwide on January 24, 2017, for the PlayStation 4 and February 18, 2020 worldwide for the Xbox One.
