Is the Jury still out on them? Where are the Battery-powered Electric Vehicles (BEVS) and practicality we keep hearing about from TESLA and the powers that be saying (owners, governments, advocates, etc)? Where is the practicality, infrastructure, and versatility we hear them preaching about as often as possible? I drive from NY to Arizona, AZ to UT, UT to NM, NM to TX, TX to OK, OK to FL, Florida to Indiana, Indiana to NJ, NJ to NY, NY to NC, NC to GA, and GA to FL, and only a handful of Teslas I and I (you and me) keep seeing…and not on the long interstate trips I am taking in a Gas-Powered Internal Combustion Engine Vehicle (aka ICE). I mainly only see them (BEVS or Plug-In Electric Vehicles PHEVS) in-town or in the local cities. I and I have been asking the same questions, and requests to do some real world side-by-side comparisons to help us all make some more “informed” decisions. But how can compare we without the willing participants? So I make my own observations. Do BEVS and PHEVS, and ICE have practicality? Yes, But within their own spheres and niches (aka “specific applications”). Am I against BEVS or PHEVS, no! So let us continue to bring the issue to the forefront. They can all coexist together.
