Hello and welcome to GamerU's guide to Basic robot design and protection in RoboCraft.
Robocraft is an online multiplayer game that allows you design and build your own robot and battle it out with other players in an online arena so its important to make sure your robot will survive.
When you first start playing robocraft you wont have many choices for blocks and weapons so placement is key. First lay down a basic frame for a wheeled robot in the light blocks.
After you have created the basic base attach at least 4 wheels spaced as far apart as you can because you want to make the most stable base possible to avoid flipping over, more wheels means you can make a heavier robot without it slowing down.
Once you have your basic frame and wheels added attach your pilot near the back of your robot. this will mean it can be very well protected from incoming fire.
Since most of the fire you will get will be coming from the front you need add layers of protection onto the front of your robot , build covers for your wheels and use the prism blocks to create a sloping front armour to your robot, while sloping wont improve your armour rating it will make you harder to spot and so harder to hit.
(maybe run the video in fast forward as this takes a while?)
Once you have a fully covered and protected robot add your weapons making sure to give them a clear line of sight , its no use having 15 smgs if half of them shoot your own robot.
Lastly make sure to test your robot in the practice arena before entering an online game , its easy to forget a wheel or create a front or back heavy robot that wont handle well so be sure to test your designs before jumping into combat.
