The final patch is earned when you destroy 6 squadrons (72 tanks). My one and only run takes 6d 11h (11:15). Not bad for two snow days.

The difficulty gets really rough after 60 tanks. Though I had some strategies to mitigate the danger, the best thing you can do is preserve as many lives as possible going into the final squadron and just keep pushing through. You can see how quickly you lose lives, but then get on a good run like I did with my last tank.

Snow is by far the most dangerous weather event since you slip around terribly making it very hard to avoid enemy shots and connect with your own. My strategy of letting them pull up to my back left and then quickly spinning and firing at the right time is relatively successful in that it avoids a lot of deaths while still helping you get some kills and keep the game moving. I have tried full avoidance tactics in the past, but they are very boring and slow and when you get multiple snow days in a row it can be really brutal.
