I started revamping my Mechanical Wing Rig.
It was a mess before (I created it over 3 years ago) where I had to adjust each feather separately 😅
Now with just one main controller, this feels soooooo goooood 🤤

Moving the controller on each axis controls one rotation of the feathers.
Z: rotating them down into folding
Y: rotation of arm
X: rotating the feathers back and forth into flapping

I used drivers for all of it which translate the gizmo movement into rotation of the wing parts.

The smooth movement wasn't even intentional. I just wanted a simple controller for all three moves. And when moving it freely, it turned into this smooth combination of all three with that flow 🤩
