Robotech Battlecry for PS2: PAL vs NTSC
19The video was rendered at 25 frames cause cutting frames out is way better adding more frames (if I added frames the PAL version would look choppier than it actually is).
Overall everything runs at the same speed in both versions and the screen isnt very shrunk in the EU version (most PS2 games in general have more underscan than this).
Changing targets is a bit snappier in the NTSC version but I'd almost say it's a bit too fast.
Also the PAL version doesnt have a 480p mode, probably removed due to the way the game was optimized to run at 576i, and the fact it was 2002 so barely anyone cared.
The NTSC version also has an "extras" feature with interviews unlocked right off the bat. PAL version doesnt have it and I dont know if it ever becomes available.
Overall the NTSC version is still superior but the PAL version isnt a cop out they did put effort into making it as playable as the original.
