Rob's Arcade Ramble - Probably the worst Outrun 2 video you've ever seen
9Well, I'm back in Swanage and the arcades, somehow, have managed to get worse. Unbelievable, I know, but true. The on-their-last-legs Sega Rally 2 and Ghost Squad have been replaced by even more coin pushers and Outrun 2 now seems to have iffy accelerator/brake pedals and the seat seems to only go FORWARD and won't go back.
The previous person in the seat must have been a munchkin and then I made it even worse by trying to adjust it for my 5'8" frame, meaning I had to try and play with my knees rammed up against the steering column. And then there was the fun of trying to extricate myself from machine again afterwards. This is the REAL arcade experience nowadays, sadly.
So, terrible audio quality, over-the-shoulder-filming, dodgy controls and probably the worst performance I've ever put in means this MUST be the worst Outrun 2 video you've ever seen, surely? Do let me know if you've witnessed worse. That said, I doubt they'll have the bonus of wheelchair simulator action, letting you experience the thrilling action of trying to smoothly cross a road without dropped kerbs, without too much bumping around or being tipped out, and going round an arcade at waist-height, avoiding all the obstacles that you'd normally just walk around if you were well.
And I'm sure many people would agree, the noise of the arcade completely drowning me out is actually an improvement...
