Rocket League is banning crates. Today, they put out a vague statement saying they will be removing crates form the game later this year. What most likely will happen is they will remove the crates from drops so you wont get them after any Rocket League online matches but you will still be able to keep them in your inventory to open later if you want. The interesting thing I wonder though is what they will do with the keys. If they stop selling keys then the in game economy will go down in flames. A key in Rocket League is like a dollar to the United States. Remove the key and the economy will crumble.
