Yeah, it's time to end this.

You know... normally, I'd write something about the stage here, but... even though it's different, and good, there's not too much to say about it. Mega Man 5's fortress stages were already pretty good, to the point where this doesn't even particularly feel like an improvement. Both this and the original are fairly nondescript, too... Is that strange?

Well, whatever. There's a boss. At first glance, it might look like a devil boss, what with being invincible, dividing into segments, and flying across the room, but there's more to it than that. It breaks the conventions every other devil boss is strictly obligated to adhere to: the fight doesn't last forever, it's not piss-easy once you've learned the pattern, you can do a decent chunk of damage for each pass even without the weakness, the fight changes halfway through to keep you on your toes, and one of the patterns changes a little based on where Mega is so it's not the same thing every time.

This isn't a devil boss. Devil bosses are supposed to be easy and boring, and this is neither. Thank goodness.
