Rogue Company "Sinister Shadows" Public Test Server - Sneak Peek of Season 4 Battle Pass
The Public Test Server features a new map called Wanted. It's a Mexican-themed map.
It also featured Season 4 Battle Pass as well. From the looks of the background location and background music, the game is moving from Japanese-themed to Mexican-themed.
This Public Test Server was only available for PC. It was not available for consoles (PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch). So console players were SOL.
It ran from October 22nd at 2:00 PM EDT (18:00 UTC) to October 24th at 9:00 AM (13:00 UTC).
Rogue Company is an online-only third-person shooter. The game's Closed Beta phase started on July 20, 2020 and ended on September 30, 2020. Currently, the game is on its Open Beta phase that started on September 30, 2020.
To get access to the Closed Beta, people either had to be lucky and get a Twitch drop from a streamer that had drops enabled or buy one of three Founder's Packs. I did neither of these and would rather just wait for the game's eventual free-to-play release (which was the Open Beta).
Unlike Genshin Impact when there was hype around that game, Rogue Company's Open Beta announcement flew under the radar. There was little marketing about Rogue Company becoming free-to-play upon starting its Open Beta phase.
Rogue Company is a fun little game.
The game has cross-play, meaning players can play against players playing from PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Nintendo Switch.
It has 4v4 and 6v6 PvP. The game currently has Ranked mode that was released on November 7, 2020 (1 day after NFS Hot Pursuit 2010 Remastered's release) and is available upon reaching Level 30.
The game has three game modes. Demolition, Team Deathmatch, and Strikeout.
Demolition is basically Search & Destroy in first-person shooter games. Best up to 7 points wins. Teams switch roles on half-time.
Team Deathmatch is a game mode with the objective is to reach 65 eliminations for a team to win. Respawns are unlimited.
Strikeout is almost like Team Deathmatch. The difference is there's a limited number of respawns. Once respawns are all gone, the opposition gets a point. Best up to 3 points wins.
