0This is a game that will make you tear your hair out, but keep coming back for more.
Rogue Legacy is.... a pseudo rogue-like, or rogue-lite, with Metroid-vania where each death your champion is seceeded by their children. This not only limits your options on what your next class is, but also on what TRAITS your children might have, from being a dwarf to being nearsighted. All the upgrades, whether it be armor, runes, or your character themself, feel good, and it encourages you to spend gold, and you don't feel at risk of losing it as you progress, because you really aren't.
Short & Sweet (S&S): A Metroid-vania-rogue-lite (no, not kidding & not bad) where you could play as anything from a gay dwarf barbarian king to a flatulent shinobi.
