Rogue-like games are reminiscent of Rogue, the 1980 classic, with permanent death, random dungeons, and a fantasy setting. Here, I discuss 3 relatively recent Rogue-like games in a sort of mini-series on several of my favorite video game genres. Kicking things off we have:

Pixel Piracy - Swashbuckling sprite action!!

FTL: Faster Than Light - Lasers, missiles, pirates, and evil rebels. IN SPACE!!!!

Rogue Legacy - Put a bunch of pictures on the wall of ancestors who die trying to storm a castle. Good times.
