- For more advanced users: Disabe all unnecessary tasks as WMP updater etc in Services.msi (And not only for RCT3)

Please let me know if this/these options can't be a solution for someone, and eventually send me your computer specs. Thank you!

It will run very smooth with these settings and please, also update rct3 whenever possible as it does improve the performance and removes bugs that causes your staff/personnel to freeze everywhere. (Update can be done with the inluded update-wizard).

Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 is as fun as his previous 2 installements and also has very nice expansions: Wild! and Soaked!. The game itself is very easy to play (sandbox mode) and also has some very nice features like the real-life 3D animations and visuals, being able to (finally) ride your coasters and a lot of more combinations to build op your park. You cannot, however, walk into your own park and go into a ride whenever you want. The only thing to match this 'problem' is to use the cheat by changing the name of a person into: Jonny Watts. Anyway, a very funny game to play. The Carreer mode, or the campaigns are at the other hand sometimes very difficult, especially if you reach the end of it, and even more difficult if you want to finish the last ones. But, a challenge is a challenge and has to be difficult at some point. The games graphics are very nice but also give it a very special touch, by which I mean the design and colours. You can also change between night and day now, and even set it on automatic (It randomly becomes day and night). The major downside(s) about the game are in the first place the performance... Even with a high-end computer, whenever you want to completely fill your park with coasters and environment/buildings, the game will already slow down and drop performance a lot when you reach half your park... Which is very sad sometimes because the game itself shouldn't be/isn't actually that heavy... The update works this out somehow, but still it isn't so performant... And the second thing, shortkeys! Like if you want to turn an object, you haven't any key for doing that, instead you have to go to the button in-game to turn the object which is very annoying. But all in all, if you stick to the campaigns, this game is absolutely not difficult/impossible to run, but just watch out for heavy overload of coasters and stuff. My opinion: Even with the major downside I still played the game a lot, and it's worth having the entire RCT3 collection as the games are very amusing, and are very different from other games (with the exception of Zoo Tycoon 2 which is the same but with animals). Good luck! (Last thing: I used the dutch version of the game, in case someone wondered about it.)
