Ronin from Falslander by kodakawa, In-depth Figure review
14This cute and cool Ronin from Falslander was put together by Kodakawa...and it’s almost as if they didn’t feel like looking at any of the main details surrounding the initial concept art.
It’s rough because her design is gorgeous and from a distance they did an amazing job capturing the overall vibe and feel of the character...the only issue is they didn’t capture many of the smaller details or have the foresight to use similar colour schemes and design ques that match up with the other falslander figures :(
So what you end up with is a decent figure that is supposed to be part of a squad, but like her name sake, she is truly masterless and doesn’t fit in with said squad...for those of us that were hoping to have the whole collection and display them all together, the Ronin is a major miss in that regard. But that doesn’t mean she won’t look beautiful on your shelf as a lone wolf statue, or within a specific colour pallet or themed display.
Lol I still can’t believe how much Kodakawa was asking for the “special edition” with acrylic cube and artwork...DOUBLE the price! Maybe they should have put more work into the paint applications on this figure instead of investing funds towards making merch for her.
Creating this review made me a little sad because I had such high hopes and I LOVE my Falslander Hemet Nethel made by wing :(
