Continue fighting Psychemon/Shamanmon till you reach roughly 1000 stats and then you move further to the Stepstep. There you can fight some more Psychemon but you'll only get additional speed stats. The more important targets are the Black Garurumon at the end, try your best to fight them 2v1 and make use of your guard skill. Use stat boost items from Gargomon if you have some. Sooner or later you'll start taking less damage while dishing out more yourself. Once you get roughly 2000 stats you can move on. You can also initiate some quests in the Ohguino Wasteland. Goburimon, Gaomon, and Tyrannomon will request 20 of a certain type of meat. Antylamon will request an item from Rosemon's Palace to help her sleep better. The meat you can farm by defeating Shamanmon, and Geremon (for rotten meat) or by using the farm fields. The Best Meats that are requested by Tyrannomon are rare drops so probably for the best that you start growing them on the farm once you've gotten your hands on one. Once a day you'll have to fight that forced encounter on the Fortress entrance which can be tedious, unlike me you should probably take care of the Veggiemon first instead of focusing on the Woodmon.
