The game began as a passion project by a small group of people who wanted to create a game that represented their love for nature and history.
The game's name, Roots Of Pacha, translates to "roots of the earth" in Quechua, a language spoken in South America. The name represents the game's focus on nature, and the thought that everything comes from the roots of the earth.
The game's visuals are inspired by cave paintings and petroglyphs, and they're intended to immerse players in a world that's authentic to prehistoric times.
A big emphasis is placed on promoting cooperation and socialization between players, with tribal organization and community building being key focuses of the game.
Roots Of Pacha is scheduled for release in Fall 2021 on Steam and Switch. A crowdfunding campaign was launched on Kickstarter, and it exceeded its goal within a few days.
