Rounding Off Infinity: Gamerdate 11,771.11 - Riptide GP Renegade (nVidia SHIELD Portable)
My Gaming Diary - Dear Diary, it took me FOREVER to troubleshoot and get my capture cfg working for this session. Two newer items of kit were in the mix; the Razer Ripsaw and the ApeMan Victure 1080p Action Cam. The Apeman has worked perfectly out of the box every time. It's a highly versatile and flexible camera with a sharp picture, wide angle lens, and can be placed just about anywhere. The Ripsaw? Not quite so flexible. It has an audio glitch that I am seeing frequently now, where it does not pass the audio through the HDMI passthrough. I've seen it on my HP410 Slimline desktop, which serves as my BackUp Media Editing PC, and I saw it again over the past two captures when using it with my Primary Media Editing box. I could not get it t work properly at all with Razer GameCaster this time, so I flipped over to OBS. Unplugging the Ripsaw from its USB connection and plugging it back is usually the solution, so all was not lost.
Riptide Gp: Renegade, is the third game in the franchise from Vector Unit games. It's been around since the original iPad, and is solid every time. While it does not do a lot of game-changing things, it also never disappoints. With a couple of sessions to focus on just that game, I was able to really get into the career progression and appreciate it a bit more. Just another reason why I am not yet ready to let go of my nVidia SHIELD Portable.
