A peregrine falcon, the world's fastest animal, has been set free into the wild in Portsmouth after a very long journey.

Probably after an altercation with another bird, the falcon was left injured and it was discovered by Royal Navy personnel near HMS Excellent on Whale Island, in the Solent.

After being the Navy came to its rescue and a local wildlife hospital nursed it back to health, the peregrine falcon is finally free again.
