In this first episode of my new series, I take a peek at a deceptively simple and cute looking game, Subterranean Starfield (SS). SS was an entry in an older VX Ace Lite Cookoff contest and has been around for a while, but like many gems its been hidden away in a rarely visited corner of the internet. It is a dungeon crawler whose kawaii-face hides a mouthful of slathering fangs and its (selectable!) difficulty may eat you for breakfast. Can you get to the deepest levels?
