You may only capture the first Pokemon on a new route (unless a shiny or static encounter appears in that area).
All Pokemon caught must be nicknamed (this is to form an emotional bond with them, making it more devastating when it faints)
A fainted Pokemon is considered dead and can no longer be used in battle (if restrictions apply they may be used for mandatory HMs, this does not include fly)
The Nuzlock is lost if your team faints and you black out.
