10The Rune Factory series is known for its unique and quirky gameplay that blends farming, crop management, harvesting and traditional RPG dungeon battles all into one gameplay experience. While players will need to fastidiously tend to their crops, they will also have the option to explore the world around the village of Selphia and engage in action-heavy combat. A wide variety of both weapons and Rune abilities (like magic) are available to characters, and experience is gained as weapons are used, unlocking powerful new abilities. Weapons can also be combined with Rune abilities to increase their damage, providing for a huge variety of powerful attacks. The world is filled with dangerous monsters, so be careful out there!
The first game in the Rune Factory RPG simulation hybrid series to be released on the Nintendo 3DS, Rune Factory 4 adds new romance options, the ability to select a male or female character at the game's start, and endless crafting, farming and cooking opportunities. As the town of Selphia's prince or princess, players will manage the village by taking requests from townsfolk, explore the countryside with their neighbors, and tame monsters in the wild to become helpers in battle or in the fields.
