Rune Level 1 Challenge - Very Rusty Player tries Morgott RL 1 #8
1I started this Elden Ring Rune Level 1 Run (All Rememberances) 8 months and stopped after beating the Twin Valiant Gargoyles (and Fia's Champrions after it). Now I recently continued and I'm extremely rusty. Today we have to fight Morgott with RL 1 and I havr to elarn hima lmost from zero again.
In addition I also played an old leveled character from a save sate a bit to get the same weapon (Eleonora's Poleblade) to +9 as well and get the Albinauric Mask. I needed the leveled character to practice a few risky things i teh Morgott boss fight, which helped a lot. Also it seems the jump to the Somber Smithing Stone 7 in the Volcano Manor does not work anymore in 1.08. I could still do it in 1.04, but was an extreme pain there, because they made the ledge you have to land on smaller. Not sure if it still works at all. We had to take the normal route.
Some info on Eleonora's Poleblade & this run:
Eleonora's Poleblade needs 19 Arcane, 12 Strength and 21 Dexterity (on Rune Level 1 all stats are at 10). To get these stats and use the weapon (right now at +9) efficiently I need to use Godrick's Great Rune and it needs to be active, which requires Rune Arcs. If I die I lose the effect and need to use another Ruen Arc. Since I have to grind each boss fight to learn them and don't want to farm Rune Arcs all the time, I will use save states in this practice run. Plan was to be able to beat Elden Ring on Rune Level 1 with about 10 Rune Arcs, which you find on the way. But I'm not there yet and probably never will, because Valiant Gargoyles are very difficult and frustrating and I don't plan doing this run again with this weapon anytime soon, but I want to complete it once.
Needed Equip:
Eleonora's Poleblade (+9)
Albinauric Mask (for +4 Arcane)
Flask of Wondrous Physick (Dexterity-knot Crystal Tear + optional Strength-knot Crystal Tear)
Godrick's Great Rune (all stats +5)
Radagon's Sore Seal (Vigor, Endurance, Strength & Dex +5)
Fevor's Cookbook 1 (to craft Sleep Pots)
Optional:
Green Turtle Talisman (stamina reg)
Golden Vow Ash of War (bonus damage)
Flame, Grant Me Strength Incantation (bonus damage; needs Finger Seal)
Mohg's Shackle (maybe for Mogh fight)
Lord of Blood's Exultation (+20% damage when Blood Loss effect happens)
Starscourge Heirloom (+5 Strength)
Prosthesis-Wearer Heirloom (+5 Dex but takes time to get)
Claw Talisman (+15% jump attack damage)
Exalted Flesh (for extra damage)
Purifying Crystal Tear (for Mogh fight; you get it with Eleonora's Poleblade)
PS: My microphone setup had a sound issue, which I did not notice, so my voice has this weird crackling sound. It's fixed next stream. I only noticed it after the stream.
