A long time ago I did attempts for this without a 2.x controller, putting in some 20h at that time. My grind was cut short after having injured my hand which forced me to go on a GE hiatus. Now that I'm back I decided to go for it again, and despite me actually having a 2.x controller now I decided that I still wanted to do it 1.x since I had already put in a bunch of time for it. Also it feels pretty neat having achieved this record with the same strats and limitations as Boss :)

I'm not sure of the exact time, but this took *at least* 60h total. Had so many runs finish ahead of what I'd regard to be the 22 music cue (there's sort of a "ping pong" sound), yet somehow none of them managed to be 22. Definitely had a fair few that must have been within 0.1s

Not sure what to say about this run, the hut was super average, lineup afterwards wasn't anything special, boosts didn't feel particularly amazing, yet somehow it was still fast?? No sick guard boost like Boss got, just your everyday turret boost which luckily didn't happen just after throwing 4th nade to ruin the run like it normally does. Good thing it hit, because that 5th nade throw looked pretty sketchy

I'm also doing these weird sort of side-throws by just barely holding analog stick up-up-left which ended up being more consistent for me that what I saw the other runners doing. In reality this is probably *less* consistent, but it might be something worth checking out if you're going for this

Feels great to be out of this purgatory so I can move on and get some points on other stuff! It didn't even feel like I was playing at this point, rather I had just programmed myself to just be some weird automaton cranking out runs. This level on 1.x will flatten your brain, definitely do NOT recommend it if you do have the option to 2.x.
