With the recent ban of Instagram and Facebook in Russia (both are now considered extremist websites, and Meta is considered an extremist organization) many people started worrying about what's going to happen to other Western social media, including YouTube. Well, some enthusiasts in Russia decided that they'll create Russian social media replacements. To replace Instagram we have Rossgram, and to replace YouTube we have Rutube. Let's discuss these websites and see if they can actually replace Western social media (spoiler alert: they're awful and no, they can't).
