Keeping the channel active and I do think this match up is a sorta interesting mark on the game. As usual despite being 30 years old super turbo is extremely competitive. Its not rare for bad characters to win, its not rare for bad characters to steam roll other characters even, even characters that are supposed to be countered by the other characters its a common occurance see them win despite this... However ryu vs sim is a interesting example of a match up that is just consitently bad even 30 years later. Its very very rare to see ryus beat sims because of some of the changes to the way footsies worked for the characters. And often when you see Ryu beat Sim its often a lot of throwing cauting to the wind and just praying you hit random hurricane kicks and DPs beacuse and hoping for the best. A lot of the actual counters ryu had to sim in previous games before this just no longer work.
Which is also interesting because those counters if he still had them so to speak I cant think of any match up that makes him to powerful so to speak, and really would just help him in some of the match ups he struggles in.
