How to Reduce CPU Temperatures? So you went and got yourself a Ryzen 3000 series processor like the 3700x or 3800x and the temps are super high? Well don't worry, your in the same boat as me. I will show you what I done to fix high CPU temps on the Ryzen platform. AMD have said the 3800x has a max temp of 95C but when your CPU is running at 85C when rendering a video or running Prime95, its a bit worrying. The wraith prism cooler used to work great on the 2700x but on these new 3rd gen processors, it seems to struggle to keep CPU temps cool. So with a slight overclock from 3.9GHZ to 4.2GHZ and a undervolt of 1.35 and a change of CPU cooler to the Scythe FUMA 2. The temps seem to be a hell of a lot lower and more stable with less jumping around. Getting a 20C lower temps with this setup.
