The next generation Ryzen processors, based on Zen 5 (known as Granite Ridge) launch next year, with significant IPC and performance gains. In this video we go fresh new information, compare to previous rumors, touch on early details of AMD'z Zen 6 processors and also discuss the Strix Point halo SKU known as Sarlak which has the potential to render low end to mid range GPUs basically pointless.
Zen 5 has significant changes across the board, but the L2 cache seems to remain at 1MB per core, with L1 cache seeing a bump, L3 cache having changes (but the amount remaining the same as zen 4) and other changes across the core. Clock frequency of Granite Ridge likely will be a little higher than that of AMD's Ryzen 7000 series, but not be a major uptick.
