Ryzen 9 3950X vs 5950X | Cinebench R15 & R20 | Davinci Resolve 4K Encoding | PS + Nik Filter
0:00 Cinebench R15 Multicore
0:27 Cinebench R15 Single Core
1:08 Cinebench R20 Multicore
1:47 Cinebench R20 Single Core
2:43 Davinci Resolve Video Encode
3:45 Photoshop + Nik Tonal Contrast
------------------------------------------------------------
Hi everyone.
For a few months I have been studying a video editing course with Davinci Resolve so I take the opportunity to put into practice what I am learning.
In today's video I compare the performance of Ryzen 3950x and 5950x in Photoshop and Davinci Resolve with features I use every day, like the Nik 'Tonal Contrast' filter in Photoshop and video encoding in Davinci Resolve.
In addition, I have included at the beginning Cinebench R15 and R20 tests both in multi and single-core so that you have a reference when passing the test on your rigs. I hope you may find it helpful.
Analyzing the data from these tests we see that Ryzen 5000:
- It's 20% faster in single-core (CB15 and CB20)
- It's between 6% and 10% faster in multi-core (CB15 and CB20)
- In Davinci Resolve takes almost 1 minute less to encode (4K/60fps) a 4 minute long video.
- Applying the Nik filter in Photoshop is 1 second faster.
In conclusion, Davinci Resolve is the program where I am going to notice the performance increase the most.
