The good news is, Square Enix has improved... somewhat.
They finally gave us a look at FFVII remake alongside Marvel's Avengers, both of which have a lot of potential and promise.
The former being a remake where while it may play like FFXV or Kingdom Hearts, mixes that with the classic Active Time Battle Combat, which has a lot of cool stuff going for it.
The Latter being a big online cooperative game that tells a rather grim tale for Avengers with tons of free content to come as it goes. No lootboxes and pay to win stuff! It'll be like Splatoon 2!
They also dropped the surprise that is FFVIII remaster! I was wondering where that was considering the Switch has already earned FFVII Classic, FFIX, FFX/X2 HD remaster (PS Buy a SE Asian copy you'll get both games in one card instead of having to download FFX2!). But well, better late than never. It turns out SE never lost their files.
